Settings

There are several settings that you can configure to customize how you use XOFTspy Portable.

To view the Settings do the following:

In the left panel of the Main window click Settings.

Scan Options

You can select what items you want to scan. See: Scan for more information about these settings.

Protect Options

You can protect the local computer your U3 device is connected to. You can download XoftSpySE to the desktop of the local computer. XoftSpySE takes advantage of the same spyware database and provides efficient scanning and removal of spyware. See: Protect the local computer for more information.

When you remove items, XOFTspy Portable will check to see if the computer has a copy of XoftSpySE. If it does not detect it, you are prompted to download XoftSpySE to the desktop of the computer.

To turn off the prompt:

Clear the Enable ongoing protection prompts option.

You can choose to download XoftSpySE to the computer you are plugged into manually without the prompt.

To download XoftSpySE to the local computer:

Click the Download button.

Updates

You can receive product and database updates. By default, XOFTspy Portable will automatically check for updates every time it is launched.

To turn off automatic updating:

Clear the Automatically Check for Updates option.

You can choose to check for updates whenever you want.

To manually check for updates:

Click the Check for Updates button.
