Application List
As an administrator you can block any application that is not appropriate for the selected user profile by configuring the Application List page.
To open the Application List page, do the following:
- Open the Control Panel and click the Profiles link.
- Select a user profile.
- Click the Application List tab.
Allowed Applications
You can enter applications to the Allowed Applications list that you know are acceptable for this user.
To add an application to the list, do the following:
- In the Allowed Applications section, click the Add To List button.
- Browse to the location of the executable and select it.
- Click the Open button.
Note: You need to select a file with an application name that has an "exe" suffix (for example, "ProgramName.exe").
Blocked Applications
You can enter applications to the Blocked Application list that you want to block this user from accessing.
To add an application to this list, do the following:
- In the Blocked Applications section, click the Add To List button.
- Browse to the executable and select it.
- Click the Open button.
Note: You need to select a file with an application name that has an "exe" suffix (for example, "ProgramName.exe").
Remove
You can also remove any entry that you previously added to either list.
Note: This will not disable or uninstall the application on your computer.
To remove an application entry from either list, do the following:
- Select an application entry in the display list.
- Click the Remove From List button.
