Filters

As an administrator you can select website and keyword categories that you want to block for the selected user profile by configuring the Filters page. These filters block the following:
  • Entire websites with adult content or questionable material.
  • Websites that have questionable content as detected by keyword filters.

Note: These categories are preset by the program. For example, a category like "drug" might include websites that use the words "cocaine" or "crack". If you want to create custom restrictions to specific websites, see: Website List. If you want to create custom restrictions based on specific keywords, see: Keyword List.

To open the Filters page, do the following:

  1. Open the Control Panel and click the Profiles link.
  2. Select a user profile.
  3. Click the Filters tab.
  4. Click the enable customization now link.

Web Filters

There are certain filter options to choose from on this page that you can configure.

Note: These items are not fixed and are updated on a periodic basis by ParetoLogic to provide you with the most up-to-date Filters categories.

To enable web filters do one of the following:

  • Select a check box associated with a Filters option to select all the items in that option.
  • Expand a Filters option using the "+" box and select only the categories you want to restrict.

If you know specific websites that you want to allow or to block then see the following for more information: Website List.
