User Profiles

There are three main categories of profiles: administrator, user, and a "No User" state.

Administrator

As an administrator you have full privilege and you can configure the ParetoLogic PGsurfer settings. You will need to login before you begin. Once you have successfully logged in you can do the following:

User

The PGsurfer administrator creates user profiles. Once a user profile is created, the user can login and use Internet privileges according to the limits set by the administrator. A user can also view the Internet timer to see the online time available and can logout to stop the timer if they have time restrictions.

To view the Internet timer and see available online time:

  1. Right-click the PGsurfer icon in the system tray.
  2. Select Show Internet Timer.

No User

When there is no one logged on to PGsurfer and someone attempts to use Internet services, the No User dialog appears stating that a PGsurfer account is required. A valid user with proper credentials must logon to the system for online access privileges.
