Download and Install

Once you have reviewed the scan results and associated information and have selected the items you want updated as described on the Scan Results page, you can begin the download and install process.

Download

All the selected items from the Results page can be downloaded to your system. You can select where the items are downloaded. See Settings for more information.

To download the selected items, do the following:

Click the Next button.

The download progress, file size, and status are displayed. There may be times where the item supplier web servers experience a high traffic load. You can skip the download and try again at another time. You also have the option of cancelling your download in which case a confirmation dialogue will appear confirming that you want to cancel and return to the Home page.

To cancel the download, do the following:

Click the Cancel button.

Install

After the download is complete the installation process begins. A window appears prompting you to begin installation of the selected item or items. You can also install the items directly from the Download Location at a later time.

Install Items

You can now begin to install all selected items directly from ParetoLogic DriverCure. Installing items involves launching the vendor's installation file. You will need to follow the steps as provided.

Note: If you are asked to reboot, ParetoLogic DriverCure will continue where you left off.

We recommend when installing drivers that you download and install one item at a time. If you are installing more than one outdated item at a time, you will be prompted to install on a sequential basis. You also have the option to skip or cancel an installation.

Typically the install file is an executable file and has an ".exe" extension. These are self-extracting files. In some cases, you may be required to launch a non-executable file manually. See: Troubleshooting: Manual Installation for more information.
