Blocked Events

Your Protection level determines what items Active Protection automatically blocks. You can also block items manually for some Protection levels. When a potential malware item is blocked - specifically those blocked by the Internet monitors - you may notice the effect during your Internet operations. For example, Active Protection will not allow particular items to be downloaded or displayed if harmful to your system unless you allow it.

Active Protection lists the items that were previously blocked. You can view the list, display any details associated with a blocked event, and chose to remove or restore a blocked item.

To view the Blocked Events list, do the following:

  1. Click the Active Protection button in the Main window.
  2. In the Active Protection panel select Blocked Events.

Deleting Entries

You can delete one or more items from the Blocked Events list. When you do this the items are removed and cannot be recovered.

To remove one or more blocked entries, do the following:

Select one or more check boxes next to the blocked item and click the Delete button.

To remove all blocked entries, do the following:

  1. Select the top left check box in the column heading. All headings are now selected.
  2. Click the Delete button.

Unblocking

You can restore one or more items from the Blocked Events list.

Caution: When you do perform this action, the item is allowed on your system and it could have a negative impact on system functionality and performance.

To unblock one or more log entries, do the following:

Select one or more check boxes next to the blocked item and click the Unblock button.

To unblock all entries, do the following:

  1. Select the top left check box in the column heading. All items are now selected.
  2. Click the Unblock button.
