Removing Items

After completing a scan you can remove the detected items. See Scan Results for information about the scan summary. By default all the detected items are checked for removal. You can choose to send items to the Ignore list to not remove them and to have them ignored for upcoming scans. You can also choose to clear items you do not want ParetoLogic Anti-Virus PLUS to remove.

Caution: It is recommended that you have some knowledge of the items you are choosing to NOT remove from your system.

The Objects Detected section includes a list of detected items similar to the one seen here:

Objects Detected Section

To clear items so they are not removed:

Clear the associated check box.

To remove items:

  1. Ensure that one or more items are checked for removal.
  2. Click Clean.
  3. Click the Finish button.

The items are removed and a backup file is stored on the local computer. You have the option of viewing the list of backup files and restoring items. For more information, see Backup and Restore.

You can also choose to not remove any of the detected items and return to the Scan page.

To skip the removal of all detected items and return to the Scan page:

Click the Back button.
