Protection Levels

The top portion of the Active Protection Overview is the Protection Level section.

To view the Alert levels, do the following:

In the left Active Protection panel of the Main window click Overview.

You can choose to set all the monitors so they are at the same Active Protection level. We recommend becoming familiar with the specifications for each level (see "Protection Levels" below).

Note: If you have previously set custom Active Protection levels, you will receive a warning that the previous settings will be overwritten.

To set all monitors at the same Protection level, do the following:

  1. In the left Active Protection panel of the Main window click Overview.
  2. Click the Predefined button. If the Custom button was on, you have previously made custom settings. You will receive a warning message. To continue, click Yes.
  3. Adjust the slider and choose from one of the four levels:
    • Full Protection
    • Medium Protection
    • Low Protection
    • Log-Only

To turn off Active Protection monitoring, do the following:

  1. Click the Predefined button.
  2. Adjust the slider to the Off position.

** Notification for this setting only occurs when you attempt to download and run malicious software; Active Protection automatically blocks the program and notifies you. You are also notified in the event that malware is causing Cycle Detection.

An Alert notification refers to a popup alert window. To better understand the actions taken see:
