Removing Items

After completing a scan you can remove one or more of the detected items that are displayed (see Scan Results). By default all the items are checked for removal. You can select the items you do not want removed and you can choose to send items to the Ignore list.

When a scan is complete, ParetoLogic Anti-Spyware selects all detected items for removal. You can clear the items you do not want removed.

Caution: It is recommended that you have some knowledge of the items you are not removing from your system.

To clear items so they are not removed:

Clear the associated check box.

To remove items:

  1. Ensure that one or more items are checked for removal.
  2. Click Clean.
  3. Click the Finish button.

The items are removed and a backup file is stored on the local computer. You have the option of viewing the list of backup files and restoring items. For more information, see Backup and Restore.
