Active Protection

Active Protection is designed to detect and block spyware attacks and threats as they happen in "real-time". ParetoLogic Anti-Spyware uses "monitors" that are designed to stay on the alert for any malware intruders.

ParetoLogic Anti-Spyware provides you with the highest level of protection while being as un-obtrusive as possible. You can set the security level to determine what actions Active Protection will take when intercepting a spyware threat.

Note: There are times when malware items take hold of your system even when you are attempting to block them. In these cases it is best to run a complete scan. If you receive more than one alert notice for the same detected item, you could have a spyware infection on your computer. For more information, see Cycle Detection.

Warning: Active Protection can conflict with other programs that utilize similar real-time blocking strategies; results will vary. We recommend that you use only one active protection mechanism.

To Begin

From the Main window you can access all the Active Protection functionality from the Active Protection panel located on the left.

To open the Active Protection menu, do the following:

On the left side of the Main window, click the Active Protection title panel.
