A aaa Dialer
Infected with A aaa Dialer ? |
A dialer is a program that uses a phone connected to a computer to make long-distance phone calls or calls to 900 and 976 phone numbers without alerting the computer user. In order for a dialer to function, the computer must be connected to a phone line via a standard modem (e.g. 56K dial-up) or possibly via ADSL with more sophisticated dialers. Cable or satellite modem users and those on a network or behind a firewall are immune to most dialers.
