Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce selects ParetoLogic as awards finalist in this years Greater Victoria Business Awards
After an extremely successful 2007, ParetoLogic was recently honoured by being named a finalist for Business of the Year at the 2008 Greater Victoria Business Awards.
"We were very excited to be considered by the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce for the award," said Elton Pereira, ParetoLogic's CEO and a co-founder. "We had a fantastic year with the launch of ParetoLogic Data Recovery, PGsurfer and SafeSurfer.org. We have followed that up with a great start to 2008 with the release of ParetoLogic Anti-Virus Plus."
ParetoLogic was recognized April 16 at the Chamber of Commerce's awards night. More than 300 people, including the top business leaders in Victoria, B.C., gathered at Fairmont Empress Crystal Ballroom for the event.
Trophies were presented in 14 different categories. Awards are presented to businesses and individuals who "demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment to positive business development, economic growth and diversity within the region," according to the chamber.
In 2007, ParetoLogic continued to make large steps forward. The company was formed in 2004 by four brothers. Since then it has established itself as one of the best in the industry in anti-spyware software and a leader in online safety.
Last year ParetoLogic launched the powerful parental controls program, PGsurfer. Showing its commitment to online family safety, ParetoLogic decided to offer PGsurfer as a free product. As well, the company went a step further in establishing SafeSurfer.org. The companion website that offers young people a safe place to go online as well as forum to learn about Internet safety.
As well, in 2007, ParetoLogic launched such software as Data Recovery, Data Recovery Pro and Spam Controls. In each of these products, ParetoLogic has created effective, advanced programs that are easy to use and fast.
Although the company is pleased with its past successes, it continues to move forward. In early 2008, ParetoLogic Anti-Virus Plus was launched. This combined ParetoLogic's proven anti-spyware technology with advanced virus protection. More exciting announcements are expected this year from ParetoLogic.
