ParetoLogic joins the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA)
Victoria, BC October 21, 2005 - Security software developer ParetoLogic Inc. has joined the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry. The SIIA focuses on promoting the software and information industry, informing both the public and the industry on trends and happenings in the technology world, and protecting intellectual property by supporting pro-industry legislation.
ParetoLogic joins the SIIA as one of a handful of anti-spyware developers on the organization's roster. The British Columbia-based developer will use SIIA benefits to interact with other technology companies in order to improve Web security and privacy, as well as championing anti-piracy legislation and the development of anti-piracy technology.
Every year, the SIIA sponsors the Codie Awards, which allow SIIA members to be nominated in a number of categories, including "Software Newcomer," "Education Newcomer," and "Corporate Achievement."
